Santa Came Early

Just a quick catch up for all of you in Internetland. Your Christmas card will be late, but it won't be because I forgot to send you one. I'm just behind schedule. Soon...

I can't get into it much here, but my work situation has been SEVERELY shitty because of a crazy bitch and the mess she's made of her personal life. Suffice to say, she's more hated than I realized and I'm increasingly confident that I will be happy with the way this all works out. My boss is gone (quit, fired, evaporated?) and I should get a new one in the coming months. Maybe a new role, probably a new structure... should be interesting.

Jonnya Leeg is also mixed up because of a certain nut job who bears a striking resemblance to the crazy bitch in my office. Well, that's not fair. JLCB is not a desparate, grasping slut out to ruin my life. She's just a know-it-all with no people skills who doesn't know her ass from her elbow. Hope to manage-up appropriately tomorrow and get JLCB out of my hair so that I can enjoy my work vacation and all the time off from OCB's shenanigans.

Dr. Boy and I exchanged Xmas gifts early because we're going to visit my parents. I have to say, I kicked ass this year with what I bought, but Dr. Boy won Christmas. He bought me only one thing, and even though it wasn't on my list at all, he won. It's a necklace I've wanted for more than 20 years, and though it is TackyAsAllHell and makes him a little nuts, I love it. I actually got a little weepy.

And, to round out my week of awesomeness, OCB "got sick" and took a few extra days off, I got a snow day that lead into a long weekend, and the NYTimes has been publishing articles encouraging couples to marry before the end of the year for the tax credit. Unfortunately, Dr. Boy can read the tax tables on the IRS website, but I ALMOST HAD HIM for a minute there. This crusade isn't over yet ;)
