Wait, What Day Is It?

Today is President's Day, which is a holiday for me. Dr. Boy did not get the day off, and had to work through dinner. BOO! I spent the day flopping from headache to nap and back again. Except for the moment in the shower when I forgot what day it was and literally ran out, dripping and soapy, because I thought I had missed a Volunteer commitment. Next week. Thank god...

Of course, that means I have a week of work night, work night, volunteer commitment, work night to look forward to. And, in the middle, Dr. Boy is out of town.

Things I've tried this week:

1. Michael Pollan's rules - more veggies, less meat, 5 ingredients, no high fructose corn syrup, nothing you can't pronounce, + my own - no partially hydrogenated oils = there is nothing I can eat but salad. I'm really sick of salad, and just as fat.

2. 1 smushed graham cracker + 1 sugar free chocolate pudding cup + some canned whipped cream = giving Michael Pollan the finger in a really, really fun way.

3. The Assasination of Jesse James, blah blah blah. So not worth it. The longest movie in the world. Saw Superbad too. Eh. Also skippable - Orangette's chickpeas. So much better plain.

XOXO,

M
