Y'ALL.
I love me some flatware. I am frikkin' helpless to resist it.
There was this darling spoon. A few months ago, there was an amazing exhibit at the Cooper Hewitt Museum called Feeding Desire. The ads had this same spoon, and it was one of the reasons I wanted to go. I had to know what it was used for. So, I asked HisMom, and she explained that while she had no idea what it was designed to do, she uses it to put thick dip on chips. Y'know, because the dip makes the chips break, and ruins your snack.
I spent hours online looking for a spoon just like it, trying to identify its proper use. Though, I must say, the chip trick works like a charm. I frantically text messaged Bee, and took lots of photos. But, of course, it was her holiday vacation too, and my phone was being useless... so no answer.
When I got back to NYC, Bee and I exchanged emails. She hadn't gone with me to Feeding Desire, that was probably Lala. Right. But she did find my spoon on ebay.
On ebay.
Hmmm...
OK, it's not really my fault. J-Mom introduced me to Auction Sniper and like I said, I can't help myself. I bought the goddamned thing.
And I'm going to use it at my Mardi Gras Party (02/02/08) to put my dip on chips.
XOXO,
M
