Addiction, thy name is Rebecca Thuss

I think my obsession with place settings, stationery, and flowers has lead many of you to believe that I am preoccupied with weddings. Hopeful, perhaps, but not preoccupied with weddings.
They just happen to combine many of the crafts that make up my artistic interest. It is true, I have very, very little artistic spark. And equally true that I have limited interest in, or patience for, the sort of crafting that is so popular right now.

I like things neat. I like them tailored. I love to be surprised by a beautiful font, or color combination, or a truly unique flower arrangement. I am tired of antlers, birds, and strange bits sewn and glued together. I can't get into letterpress. I am bored by Pottery Barn. I want to live in a lush, beautiful world of formal lunches, and gorgeous thank you notes addressed in Copperplate. And, I am too busy, too poor, and too lazy to make that a reality.

But now, I have true Style Porn. Rebecca Thuss is a stylist who has worked for many years at Martha Stewart Weddings, the bible of fussy, attention-to-detail, color-coordinated down to the food inspiration. Her website has many of her greatest, most beautiful, hits.

Sigh.

XOXO,

M
