Well, it's been a year of living in NYC and living in sin. All in all, a positive experience. Dr. Boy and I celebrated by eating girly brunch from Deluxe and watching Entourage.
On the way back from picking up Girly brunch, I ran into the Event Planner. Such a nice girl. And, so obviously not interested in being my friend. SIGH. This seems to be a NYC thing. I meet these great women, and we get along really well, but it's like they don't have any room in their lives for new people. And, of course, I feel worse about this because I've met a few women who wanted to be my friends and I wasn't interested. So instead of hanging out with adults, I'm drinking mimosas on the aerobed with the Big Kitties and watching the Red Sox. Which is both more fun, and more pathetic, than it sounds.
Scared Kitty and Playful Kitty have lost weight on the low-carb diet designed to curb Grumpy Kitty's diabetes. Kind of funny - they are so desparate to get to Bitty Kitty's dry food that they walk away from their bowls. So, they starve and Grumpy has gotten r-o-u-n-d. But, Scared has a waist, and ribs, and I'm very proud of him.
One of Dr. Boy's projects is getting a little nuts and might get pulled as a result. Not a lot of fun. Dr. Boy has been walking around talking to himself a lot, and I know more about US law related to working in foreign countries than I ever wanted to.
Making strawberry/basil macerated pork chops for dinner... smells good, looks totally fross. And, getting PSYCHED for Transformers tomorrow. Hurrah! Best thing about NYC - early movie openings. Saw Ratatouille last night. Super cute, and definitely recommended.
XOXO,
M
